This would appear to be a bit fitting since we are nearing Valentine's Day. I wonder what everyone's own personal philosophy is on love.....
After years you can't help but wonder if you've been approaching it the correct way, or have others not had the purest of intentions. I think it's a combination of things. It's a topic that seems to always have my mind consumed. None the less, very difficult to understand.
Sometimes I almost get this impression that I've been searching for something that doesn't exist. Something so deep that it creates an everlasting unity between two people that I cannot even put into words. A level of fulfillment that can only ever be reached with that significant other.
The more appropriate question being is how many people have actually experienced this? Having a boyfriend since high school or college doesn't make you an expert. Need not apply. I'm referring to people who have spent their life dedicating each & every moment to that one person. Only then I think you can really understand this matter.....
I'm going to sit on this one.
Just what is love? I've been seeking out this question for nearly a decade and coming no closer than I was when I was 21. But to love is a basic feeling as pure of anything else. Something you just know in your gut that it is. Love cannot be explained scientifically. Sometimes you just know it upon feeling it.. As you described it Sabrina.
ReplyDeleteI've felt this feeling at times but I've also fell out of love as well. There are all stages of love but "The perfect Love" will come to the right person at the right time and you won't question it as you'll simply know it is. We just have to be patient and hence patience is a virtue. I myself have simply chosen to wait until I feel the right one has come along.
Rest assured Sabrina the perfect love will come for you as well. Time may not be on our side but if we spend it well on this earth it will not consume us every waking minute. live, laugh, learn and indulge.
Sometimes the answer is deep inside ourselves but we just need to be patient to find it.
